You've spent years building a reputation doing the work right the first time. Your website should say the same thing. This proposal outlines a complete custom website build for Preferred Electric — designed to generate quote requests, communicate professionalism, and work as hard as you do. No templates. No drag-and-drop builder junk. A real site, built to spec, that actually looks like you mean business.

01

The Situation

Most electrical contractors in Connecticut are either using a generic template site from 2014, a half-finished Wix page someone's nephew set up, or nothing at all. That's actually good news — because it means a well-built site gives you a visible edge the moment someone Googles "electrician Berlin CT" at 9pm with a blown breaker.

Your clients are homeowners, property managers, and business owners. They're comparing you to whoever else shows up in search results. A professional, fast-loading, mobile-friendly site with a clear quote request form converts that comparison into a call.

The goal isn't just a website. It's a lead-generating asset that works on nights and weekends when the phone is off — and makes sure every potential customer that finds you online sees exactly why Preferred Electric is the right call.

02

What Gets Built

Here's exactly what you're getting. No vague "design and development" — every component spelled out.

01
Custom Website Design
A fully custom site designed around your brand — not a modified theme or template. Dark, bold, high-contrast design with yellow accents that says "we take our work seriously." Built specifically for the electrical trade, not recycled from a plumbing or HVAC layout.
Custom Design Brand Aligned No Templates
02
Mobile-First, Responsive Build
Over 70% of local service searches happen on a phone. Your site will be built mobile-first, so it loads fast and looks sharp on every screen — phone, tablet, desktop. Tap-to-call button is front and center on mobile.
Mobile-First Fast Load Tap-to-Call
03
Core Pages (Up to 6)
Home, Services, About, Contact/Quote Request, Service Area, and one optional specialty page (Emergency Calls, EV Chargers, Panel Upgrades — your call). Each page is content-complete, not just a placeholder.
6 Pages Full Content SEO Structured
04
Quote Request Form
A working contact/quote request form that captures name, phone, email, service type, address, and job description — and emails it directly to you. No monthly fees, no third-party portal your customer has to log into.
Lead Capture Direct Email No Monthly Fee
05
Basic SEO Setup
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization — it's basically how Google decides whether your site shows up when someone types "electrician Berlin CT" into their phone. Without it, your site can exist and still be invisible. With it, you have a real shot at appearing in front of people who are already looking to hire someone like you.

What gets configured: page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, and Google Business integration guidance — the foundational work that gets you indexed correctly and showing up for local searches in Berlin and surrounding towns.

06
Hosting Setup & Launch
I'll handle domain connection, SSL certificate, hosting configuration, and full launch. You'll also get a walkthrough so you know how to update your phone number, hours, or add a photo without needing to call someone every time.
Hosting Config SSL Included Handoff Training
07
30-Day Post-Launch Support
For 30 days after your site goes live, I'm available for fixes, tweaks, content updates, and questions. If something's broken or off, I handle it. After that, maintenance can be added at a flat monthly rate.

03

What I Need From You

I do the heavy lifting. You provide the raw material — content, photos, and your input on two design review checkpoints. That's it.

No long intake forms. No 12-page content questionnaire. A short intake call or text exchange is enough to get started.

04

Build Timeline

Start to launch in 7 days or less — as long as content and feedback come back promptly, most builds are live well within the week.

// Day 1
Kickoff + Discovery
Short intake call or text exchange, content collection, domain/hosting decisions locked in. Design starts same day.
// Days 2–3
Design Mockup
Full visual mockup of the homepage and one interior page delivered for your review. You tell me what to adjust — layout, colors, content, anything.
// Days 3–5
Full Build
All pages built, form wired up, SEO configured, mobile tested. You'll get a staging link to review before anything goes live.
// Days 6–7
Revisions + Launch
Final round of revisions, launch to your live domain, SSL activated, Google Business connection guidance, handoff walkthrough.
// 30 Days Post-Launch
Support Window
Fixes, content tweaks, and questions covered. After this window, optional monthly maintenance can be arranged.

05
